Review by hotel critic
My stay at this hotel was a delightful mix of traditional charm and modern amenities. The iconic setting provided a serene backdrop for my cultural immersion, with panoramic views of the financial district and the Merlion public space adding to the allure. Natural light streaming in from the impressive atrium created a welcoming ambiance, offering a glimpse of the General Post Office heritage building. The grand neoclassical landmark, dating back to 1928, exuded elegance and history, while the living area's original marble fireplaces and crown moulding added a touch of sophistication. The venue's versatile event spaces, paired with a team of skilled professionals, catered to a range of production needs, ensuring a seamless experience. The location's proximity to key attractions like Wynyard train station and the Pitt Street mall made exploring the city a breeze. While minor issues like a non-functioning TV were promptly addressed by the dedicated concierge team, the overall experience was comfortable and memorable, making it a recommendable choice for those seeking a blend of tradition and modernity in the heart of the city.
